During the event, Dr. Man Yahaya Sani, the polytechnic's Rector, listed the institution's management's recent accomplishments while pleading with the new students to prioritize their academic work.
Sani also revealed that, beginning with the 2023–2024 academic year, the polytechnic has received permission to launch an extra 18 new programs at the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels.
"This development means that the Polytechnic's programs, which are all fully accredited by the National Board for Technical Education, have grown to 64 and 42 Departments under the direction of Prof. Idris Muhammad Bugaje, the Executive Secretary.
This outstanding accomplishment not only showcases our students' academic brilliance but also the high caliber of instruction and preparation that the Polytechnic offers. This is a strong indication that the administration is determined to see this institution through to its intended status as the greatest in the West African polytechnic community.
