The Federal University, Oye Ekiti, has accused the passing of a student of the institution, who was asthmatic, on Tuesday morning of the inhumanity of the striking members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, which resulted in the closure of the institution's clinic.

FUOYE Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, blamed SSANU for taking care of its national leader and authority with lies about the university, which prompted the national authority to purportedly coordinate the association in organizations in Ondo, Osun, and Kwara to continue to the university on Monday.
Fasina, who was represented by his management team led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Tajudeen Opoola, said that after the deception by the FUOYE SSANU Administrator, Oluwaseun Faleye, that he was enduring an onslaught, the institution was attacked on Monday by criminals and shut down.
The VC said, "We lost a student toward the beginning of today in Fuoye who had asthma since he was unable to be taken to our clinic because the center is carefully guarded. The facts really confirm that students are on vacation; however, not every one of them is living nearby.

Fasina said the FUOYE management crew could see that the authoritative block of Ekiti State Institution, Ado Ekiti, was open, with individuals approaching their exercises and the EKSU center working on Tuesday morning, asked why EKSU SSANU purportedly impelled hooligans to attack FUOYE.
He said, "Aggregate or exhaustive strikes aren't happening in EKSU. Fasina, who said the law would manage what is happening fittingly, said, "The university won't overlap its arm and permit anyone in whatever name or permit
any association to come and possess our place. We have an approach to managing such. This is Nigeria, and no one is exempt from the laws that apply to everyone else.".
The VC, who said that the SSANU Chairman had "never been hassled or undermined by any security operatives," said, "The university is focused on ceaseless support of harmony and security on our grounds.".
Yet, the SSANU director, Faleye, who said SSANU appropriately told the university of the seven-day cautioning strike, questioned.

"Is FUOYE the only federal university that is observing the seven-day cautioning strike? Many schools are carefully guarded."
Responding to the claim that the SSANU strike was liable for the student's death, Faleye said, "Before now, there was a notice of a strike.
I have an update that the university gave preceding the notification that we will set out on a seven-day advance notice strike that guided the students to leave the hostel to avoid something like this."
He denied the claim that EKSU SSANU instigated or drove hooligans to attack FUOYE, provoking the administration to deliver such proof, asserting that, somewhat, it was the university management that laid the snare for the SSANU monitoring group.
He said, "I think you know about the national directives of our association for every one of the branches to duly embark on a seven-day strike beginning from March 18.
Indeed, even before now, we have proof of our correspondence with the administration advising them of the strike.
"They believed they could force concessions on us, saying that we should give concessions and not follow the national directives.
On Friday, they welcomed us to a gathering, requesting that we give concessions. We told them no.
"They sent a composed letter requesting concessions to exclude the well-being community and register others, yet the circular from the national leadership of our union cautioned against giving such concessions. We had taken advantage of the fact that the Vice-Chancellor was attempting to utilize security to scare us.
"On Wednesday and Friday last week, the DSS Director and the Commissioner of Police welcomed us, and we feel that this sort of terrorizing is a public strike.
How could they invite us when there is a public strike? We believed we were not safe.
"On getting to the school entrance, we met armed Civil Defense officers. I was attacked; the management is utilizing the security agencies to scare us."
