He clarified that all state schools had been ordered to follow the exam schedule by the government.

The chairman declared, "The government has canceled the payment of fees by students and learners in public spaces after finding that some unruly employees had levied unlawful costs in some regions. For this reason, I would like to advise parents and guardians to report to the board any instance of unlawful fee collection.

"Let me start by expressing my regret to the parents and guardians whose students were made to bring cash for exams. I will urge these parents to report the teachers to the board as this is not from the board. The administration has made sure that every arrangement is in place to facilitate a seamless examination process. The cost of printing and shipping the question and answer sheets was covered by us.

"Since we are dedicated to providing universal basic education that is both free and required, any school or head teacher found to be imposing or collecting any fee that has not been approved by the government will face consequences."
