Africa's biggest digital skilling competition, the Tech4Dev Digital for All Challenge, offers competitive incentives to promote the usage of digital skills and to reward self-improvement. 

It is a free initiative and competition to develop digital skills in Nigeria and to spark interest in using online platforms to earn digital certifications and skills.

Benefits of NITDA Digital Skilling Competition

Basic

  • The grand prize winner will get a cash award of 10 million naira! 
  • First runner-up receives a monetary consolation prize of 7.5 million naira. 
  • Consolation award of $5 million in cash for the runner-up position. 

Intermediate 

  • The grand prize winner would get a cash award of 15 million naira. 
  • The first runner-up receives a monetary consolation prize of 12.5 million naira. 
  • Consolation award of $10 million in cash for the runner-up position.

Civil Servant

  • The grand prize winner will get a cash award of 10 million naira! 
  • First runner-up receives a monetary consolation prize of 7.5 million naira. 
  • Consolation award of $5 million in cash for the runner-up position. 


NITDA Digital Skilling Competition Requirements 

Young Learners Category

To take part in this category: 
  • You have to be in the 8–18 age range. 
  • You have to be enrolled in a primary or secondary education program. 
  • To be eligible for the competition, you must finish the training at your school and pass the fundamental digital literacy test. 
  • Both your teacher and your school need to be signed up on the platform. 

Note: The only people authorized to register on behalf of their school and children are teachers who are currently employed by a primary or secondary school.


Youth Category

You have to be between the ages of 19 and 45 to be eligible to enter this category. 

You have to finish the challenge's basic or advanced digital skilling program and obtain a certificate.

Civil Servants

Being a civil servant is a requirement for participation in this category. You have to finish the challenge's fundamental digital skilling program and obtain a certificate. 

Procedure for Selection

The challenge will be divided into two stages in its second year: the training phase and the competition phase. 

To be eligible for the competition phase, beneficiaries will need to complete an assessment following the training phase.

There will be three stages to the competition phase: state, regional, and national (grand finale). 

The tournament will start in August 2024 and all learning will conclude in July of that same year.

How to Apply

Are you qualified and interested? 

Use dfa.digitalforall.tech4dev.com to access the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) application. 

For Young Learners:

To participate in the Digital for All Challenge as a teacher, sign up, confirm your email address, and choose a special password. 

To gain access to the learning platform, you will require your login credentials. 

To get your digital literacy certified, finish the basic assessment.

If you meet the requirements, you will get an email with instructions on how to get your hands on the educational materials your pupils need to get ready for the fundamentals of digital literacy so they can compete. 

To advance to the grand finale, trained students must compete at the state and regional levels. 

For Youth:

Register. 

Create a unique password, confirm your email address, and register on the Digital for All Challenge website. 

To access the learning platform, you'll need your login information, so be sure to keep it secure.

Finish Training - To be eligible for the tournament, participants must finish the basic or advanced learning program. To get into the grand finale, compete at the state and regional levels.

For Civil Servant:

Here, you will register on the Digital for All Challenge website, after which you will need to verify your email and create a unique password. 

Keep your log details so you can be able to access your account.

Complete Training – The basic assessment must be completed to qualify for the competition.

After which you will be able to compete at the state and regional levels to qualify for the grand finale.
