Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board has announced a slight adjustment to its interview timetable for teachers’ recruitment interviews. This announcement was made by Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.

"Isese Day, observed annually on August 20, honors Indigenous Yoruba culture and traditions while emphasizing the preservation of Yoruba heritage.
The day holds great cultural significance, especially for followers of the Yoruba traditional religion.
Dr Nureni Adeniran, Executive Chairman of SUBEB, responded quickly to the cultural date by rescheduling the interview for Monday, August 26, 2024.

In an official statement issued on Tuesday, Adeniran stressed the importance of respecting cultural norms and providing equal opportunities for all candidates to participate in the final stage of the recruitment process.
"In light of this observation, the affected LGAs whose interviews were originally slated for Tuesday, August 20, 2024, have been rescheduled to Monday, August 26, 2024,"
Adeniran told reporters. According to the statement, the impacted local government areas include Saki West, Saki East, Irepo, Oriire, Olorunsogo, Orelope, Ogbomoso North, and Ogbomoso South.

- Thursday, August 15, 2024: Akinyele, Afijio, and Ibarapa are the central local government regions.

- Monday, August 19, 2024: Ido and Ibadan South West Local Government Areas.
