University of Ibadan (UI) has released its admission list for the 2024/2025 academic year. The list of the admitted candidates has been uploaded online via JAMB CAPS.
It's essential to note that UI traditionally releases its admission list in several batches. This implies that all admitted candidate lists are not released at once.
If your name does not appear on the initial release, Dailylight enjoin you to remain optimistic and continue checking. You may be lucky to have your name on the subsequent batch.

How to Check Admission Status Via the JAMB Portal

- Next, go ahead and log in with your JAMB profile credentials.
- Scroll down until you see ‘Check Admission Status’ tab.
- Click to access the ‘Admission Status’ or ‘Access my CAPS’.
To enable desktop site view on a mobile device, click the three-dotted menu (⋮), which is typically located in the upper right corner of the screen. Next, choose "Desktop site."
The "Admission Status" choice bar will appear automatically. Press it. For information on admission status and other CAPS-related services, you can also click on "Access my CAPS."

Three possible scenarios you might experience
- First scenario: If you see “CONGRATULATIONS,” it means you have successfully been offered admission! You can choose to accept or reject it while waiting for further instructions.
- Second scenario: If the status says “ADMISSION IN PROGRESS,” you will need to be patient; there is a tendency that your status might likely change in a few days or weeks. Don't give and keep checking regularly.
- Third scenario: If it says “NOT ADMITTED,” that is not the end, there is still hope!
The University of Ibadan traditionally releases subsequent lists. Just be on the lookout and be expectant. You might still get lucky.
Once you have confirmed that you have been given admission, the next thing is to go ahead and print your admission slip directly from the portal.
