Requirements and eligibility criteria to apply for the 2024 NLNG scholarship for Nigerian undergraduates
To qualify for the NLNG scholarship for Nigerian Undergraduates in 2024, you are expected to:
- Must be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a member of any of the NLNG's host communities.
- Students must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited Nigerian federal or state-owned university.
- Must have at least five O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English, from WASC, SSCE, or NECO in one sitting.
- Must have earned at least 200 on the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Must be a verified full-time student at a Nigerian federal or state-owned university, currently enrolled in Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology, Environmental, or Geoscience courses.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale) in all previous academic years and maintain this level throughout the scholarship year.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 25 while applying.
- Must not be the recipient of any other scholarship, bursary, or grant from another organization.
- Must not be a spouse, child, ward, or immediate relative of NLNG staff.
- Must produce a valid identity letter from the host community and Local Government Council
Essential documents required for the 2024 NLNG scholarship for Nigerian undergraduate application
All the following documents should be scanned before upload:
- Most recent passport photograph with a white background (450px by 450px, not exceeding 200kb)
- O-Level and UTME results
- University and JAMB admission letters
- University ID card
- Birth certificate from the National Population Commission
- Local Government Area (LGA) identification letter
- National Identification Number (NIN) slip
- Academic transcripts from 100 level to recent academic year. It has to signed and stamped by the appropriate authorities.
- A letter of identification signed by a Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman or paramount ruler/king.
