The UGSS Special Edition is intended to empower exceptional students from the company’s host Communities by giving them the financial support they require to complete their undergraduate studies at Nigerian public universities.
NLNG is committed to promoting an inclusive scholarship program and actively encourages applications from all qualified indigenes in its host communities, including persons living with disabilities.
Requirements and eligibility criteria to apply for the 2024 NLNG scholarship for Nigerian undergraduates
To qualify for the NLNG scholarship for Nigerian Undergraduates in 2024, you are expected to:
- Must be a Federal Republic of Nigeria citizen and a member of any of the NLNG’s host communities.
- Students must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited Nigerian federal or state-owned university.
- Must have at least five O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English, from WASC, SSCE, or NECO in one sitting.
- Must have earned at least 200 on the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Must be a verified full-time student at a Nigerian federal or state-owned university, currently enrolled in Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology, Environmental, or Geoscience courses.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale) in all previous academic years and maintain this level throughout the scholarship year.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 25 while applying.
- Must not be the recipient of any other scholarship, bursary, or grant from another organization.
- Must not be a spouse, child, ward, or immediate relative of NLNG staff.
- Must produce a valid identity letter from the host community and Local Government Council
