Requirements for Federal Scholarship Board 2025-2026 (BEA) Scholarship Awards Courses
Undergraduate Requirement:
A minimum of seven (7) distinctions (As & Bs) in the Senior Secondary School Certificates, WASSCE/WAEC (May/June) alone, in areas related to their fields of study, such as English language and mathematics, are required of all applicants for undergraduate degree programs.
For non-African countries, certificates should not be older than two (2) years (2023 & 2024), while for African countries, they should only be one year (2024).
The age range is 17–20 years old.

Postgraduate Requirement:
All applicants for postgraduate degree programs must have a first degree with a first-class or at least second-class Upper Division.
The age limit is 35 for master's and 40 for doctoral degrees, and all applicants must have finished the NYSC program.
Only N.Y.S.C. discharge or exemption certificates are acceptable
Evidence that an employer is prepared to release an employee.
Application Documents
The following certificates should be uploaded electronically by all applicants:
Undergraduate: NIN Slip & WAEC/WASSCE
Postgraduate: NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, NIN slip, and first degree certificate.
NB: The following must be submitted to the Federal Scholarship Board by candidates the Board nominates:
- Academic certificate copies that have been authenticated
- Current international passport's data page;
- Medical reports from government hospitals;
- If required, an indigenous letter and birth certificate
- Police clearance certificate.

- Candidates for the Hungarian Scholarship may apply for up to two fields of study in order of preference, and they must visit the website www.stipendiumhungaricum.hu, which opened in mid-November and will close on January 15, 2025.
