Around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, a portion of Queens Hall was completely destroyed by the fire.
The institution's public relations officer, Mrs. Joke Akinpelu, confirmed the occurrence in a statement, stating that the fire only damaged the hall warden's and his secretary's offices.
But she insisted that everything was now under control.
Akinpelu continued, "Measures have also been put in place to forestall future occurrences."

Although the origin of the fire was still unknown, it was discovered that Oyo State Fire Service officers showed up promptly to control the situation.
The Oyo State Fire Service received a distress call at precisely 1:43 a.m. on Thursday, according to Mr. Yemi Akinyinka, General Manager, who also verified the occurrence.
We immediately dispatched our employees after receiving the call from Miss Helen Ibikunle.
"Upon arrival, it was found that two offices on Queens Hall's upper floor were affected.
"Billions of naira worth of property were spared from the incident," he stated.
Akinyinka stated that no casualties were reported in the fire incident and that the University of Ibadan Fire Service personnel worked together to completely put out the fire.
