The Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), on behalf of itself, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), and its co-venture partners, hereby invites applications from qualified Nigerian students for the 2025 NNPC–SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme.
This programme aims to promote academic excellence and enhance the skills of young Nigerians. It provides an annual grant to successful applicants from their second year of study until the completion of their undergraduate degree programme.
Eligible undergraduate students enrolled in National Universities Commission (NUC)-accredited courses in public Nigerian universities are invited to submit an electronic application.
Eligibility Criteria for 2025 NNPC–SNEPCo National University Scholarship
An applicant must:
- Be a Nigerian citizen.
- Currently be in their second year of full-time study in a public Nigerian university accredited by the NUC.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-point grading system or its equivalent in other grading systems.
- Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from an entity in the oil and gas industry, nationally or internationally.
Note: Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Selection Criteria for the 2025 NNPC–SNEPCo National University Scholarship
1. Applications must be submitted only through the scholarship portal before the specified deadline.
2. Only candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will be invited for a monitored computer-based test.
3. From each of the 36 states and the FCT, only the top 10 candidates will be shortlisted for academic verification before the scholarship award.
4. Candidates who present falsified results will be disqualified.
5. Only applicants who successfully meet all requirements will be contacted to receive the scholarship award.
6. Scholars must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5 (on a 5-point scale or equivalent) per session to sustain the award.

How to Apply for 2025 NNPC–SNEPCo National University Scholarship
Every applicant must have a valid personal email address and phone number.
Applications must be submitted via 2025 NNPC-SNEPCO National University Scholarship Programme website on SCHOLASTICA.
Candidates should provide personal and educational details in the application form.
Applicants must upload scanned copies of the following documents (JPEG format, maximum size 200KB for the passport photo):
- Passport-sized photograph of the applicant.
- University or JAMB admission letter.
- UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) result.
- O’ Level results and A’ Level/OND/NCE results (if applicable).
- Letter of identification from the applicant’s State of Origin, stating the Local Government Area.
- Academic results (CGPA) after completing 100 level.
