Jamb Suspends Law Admission at Eight Institutions for UTME 2025

According to the news on all popular news channel, it has been confirmed that Jamb Suspends Law Admission at eight different institution across Nigeria for UTME 2025.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will not be facilitating admissions for the Law program in eight universities due to the suspension of the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) program.

In a statement issued on Wednesday and signed by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the JAMB Public Communications Advisor, in Abuja, it was stated that the Council of Legal Education (CLE) had halted law programs for the 2025/2026 academic year for not adhering to regulatory requirements.

Benjamin identified the universities impacted as Kwara State University, Malete, Kwara State; Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State; Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State; and Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State.

The list also includes Taraba State University, Jalingo, Taraba State; Arthur Jarvis University, Akpabuyo, Cross River State; Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State; and Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.

Benjamin noted that the suspension of the Law program at the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, will be in effect for two academic years, specifically the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 sessions.

"As a result, JAMB will not authorize any admissions for candidates aiming to enroll in the Law program at the listed universities for the 2025/2026 academic year."

"Additionally, the prohibition on registrations for the Law program at the Nigerian Police Academy will continue into the 2026/2027 academic year," he stated.
