The Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora (OCI) Foundation provides annual financial assistance to underprivileged Nigerian students to aid their education in accredited Nigerian universities.

Winners of the OCI Foundation Scholarship receive financial support each year for the entire duration of their selected programs at any university of their choice in Nigeria.

The scholarship program targets bright, outstanding students who face financial difficulties, and the application and evaluation processes are specifically designed to attract, identify, and support this group of undergraduates.

Eligibility Criteria for OCI Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship

(A). FIRST-TIME APPLICANTS:

A valid government-issued identification document (e.g., an International Travel Passport, Voter's Card, National Identity Card, or Driver's License).

Applicants under 18 years old who cannot provide a government ID may submit a birth certificate.

An official letter from your institution (Head of Department) indicating your full name, gender, matriculation number (newly enrolled students lacking a matriculation number or school ID must submit a provisional admission letter from their school), course title and level, and department of study; certified copies of the following documents (originals must be presented by successful candidates during the interview):

a) JAMB/UME result certificate
b) Senior Secondary School Exam Certificate (WASSCE or NECO)
c) A valid student ID from your host institution
d) A recent passport-sized photograph
e) A letter of acknowledgment from the traditional ruler of your community, confirming your Local Government Area in Anambra State, Nigeria. No alternative letters or documents will be accepted in place of this.
f) A 500-word essay entitled “My Family.”

Successful applicants must present originals of all submitted documents during the interview, which will only be attended by selected candidates.


(B). RENEWING APPLICANTS:

An official letter from your institution (Head of Department) detailing your full name, gender, matriculation number, course title and level, department of study, and your cumulative grade point average (CGPA) for completed years.

AND/OR:

An official statement of your results for the completed academic year(s).

If relevant, a letter outlining any changes in your situation (such as a change in department, withdrawal from school, etc.).

Successful applicants must also present originals of all submitted documents during the interview, which will only be attended by selected candidates.
