As of 2025, the Federal Government of Nigeria has increased the monthly NYSC allowance to ₦77,000, and this has been effective from March 2025. This is in alignment with the new national minimum wage of ₦70,000 approved by the Federal Government for the Nigerian Labor Congress.
In addition to the federal allowance, some state governments provide supplementary stipends to corps members serving within their jurisdictions. The state government will not pay corp members which their Primary Place of Assignment is not in a state ministries but under the private sectors.

Note: It is essential to note that while these states do not offer additional allowances, corps members may still receive stipends from their Places of Primary Assignment (PPAs), especially those corps members in private organizations or NGOs.
