Ekiti TESCOM to shortlist only candidates who passed written exam and hold valid educational qualifications for next recruitment stage

The Ekiti TESCOM has previously announced that only candidates who successfully passed the recently concluded written examination and possess valid educational qualifications will be shortlisted for the next phase of the 2025 recruitment exercise.

This decision aims to ensure that only professionally qualified and competent individuals proceed to the screening and verification stage, in line with the commission’s standards for quality education delivery across the state.

Educational qualifications required

To qualify for the next phase, candidates must possess one of the following recognized teaching qualifications:

  • Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
  • Bachelor of Science Education (B.Sc Ed)
  • Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Technology (B.A, B.Sc, B.Tech) holders with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)

Candidates who do not hold any of these education-based or professional teaching certifications are considered ineligible and will not be allowed to proceed further in the recruitment process.

Relevant documents for the Ekiti State TESCOM verification exercise

TESCOM emphasizes the importance of presenting the correct documents during the screening. Only candidates with the required qualifications and appropriate documentation will be considered for final selection.

The list of required documents for screening and verification are as follows:

  • proof of residency with the local government (optional)
  • birth certificate
  • NIN certificate
  • original certificates from their educational institutions
  • an original NYSC certificate (for graduates),
  • a printout of the congratulatory message,
  • a change of name for married women, and other pertinent documents (e g COVID -19 card, medical reports, and so on)
  • … And others

NOTE: There might be changes and update to any of the following required documents, but it is advisable that you get all the document ready in advance.
