The Federal Government, through the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), has officially announced that its recruitment portal will reopen on Monday, July 21, 2025, for the continuation of the recruitment exercise across its four key paramilitary agencies.
These agencies include:
- Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
- Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS)
- Federal Fire Service (FFS)
- Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)

What this means for applicants
The reopening of the portal offers a new opportunity for eligible Nigerians who were unable to complete their applications earlier, or for those who missed the initial application phase.
This is part of the government’s effort to strengthen national security and public safety, while also creating job opportunities for Nigerian youths.
Who can apply?
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian by birth and possess a valid means of identification (NIN, voter’s card, or international passport)
- Have a minimum of SSCE, with higher qualifications (ND, NCE, HND, B.Sc.) accepted depending on the role
- Be between the ages of 18 and 30 years (some roles may have different limits)
- Be medically fit and free from any form of disability
- Have good character and no criminal record
- Meet specific requirements for the selected service (e.g. height, chest measurement, physical fitness)

1. Prepare your documents: Ensure your educational certificates, birth certificate or age declaration, passport photograph, and valid ID are ready.
2. Update your CV: Some stages may require a résumé upload.
3. Visit the official portal: Go to https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng/ when the portal reopens.
4. Apply only once: Multiple applications may lead to disqualification.
5. Stay informed: Follow official announcements and avoid fake news or unofficial links.
