The Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD) has launched the Circular Economy Youth Empowerment Initiative (CEYEI).
This is a national programme designed to train and empower young Nigerians to convert waste into valuable products and renewable energy solutions.
The waste management initiative, themed “Waste to Wealth, Waste to Energy,” is open to youths across the 36 states and the FCT.

CEYEI is a climate-focused empowerment initiative aimed at equipping young Nigerians with practical skills to build sustainable businesses in the circular economy.
The programme supports the federal government’s agenda to create jobs, reduce environmental pollution, and promote climate action under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s mandate.
The training will cover key waste-to-wealth and renewable energy areas, including:
- Waste Recycling
- Upcycling and Upscaling
- Biomass and Bioenergy
- Electronic Waste (E-waste)
- Ecopreneurship and Green Business
- Community Renewable Energy Solutions
The programme helps participants develop solutions that reduce landfill waste, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and promote cleaner, safer communities.

- Be willing to participate fully in practical training sessions.
