The Obudu Local Government Council has officially announced Phase II of the Pita Pars Free JAMB UTME Form 2026 initiative, reaffirming its commitment to widening access to tertiary education for indigent and deserving youths across the local government area.
This second phase marks a significant expansion of the programme. During the first phase last year, 150 candidates benefited from the scheme. For the 2026 UTME, the Executive Chairman has approved an increase to 200 beneficiaries, further strengthening the council’s drive for inclusive educational development.

Who Can Benefit?
The 200 beneficiaries will be selected from all 10 political wards in Obudu LGA, regardless of political affiliation.
However, priority will be given to indigent candidates, in line with the council’s goal of promoting equal opportunities and human capital development.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the scheme, applicants must:
- Use their National Identification Number (NIN) to generate a JAMB profile code
- Have been born on or before 31st August 2010 to meet the age requirement
- Meet the minimum JAMB score as may be stipulated by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)

Official Statement
Speaking on the initiative, the Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. (Amb) Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, reaffirmed the council’s dedication to education, describing it as:
“A pillar for development and youth empowerment in Obudu.”
He added that the programme is part of the council’s long-term strategy to invest in young people and prepare them for future opportunities.
