Applications are now open for the NGYouthSDGs Youth Researchers Recruitment 2026, offering young Nigerians an opportunity to participate in research that will help strengthen youth participation in Nigeria’s National Youth Policy 2026–2030.
The opportunity is part of the Youth Voice Naija Project, led by the Network of Youth for Sustainable Initiative (NGYouthSDGs). Selected Youth Researchers will help collect young people’s views, experiences and needs across communities, contributing to evidence-based youth policy development.
What Will Youth Researchers Do?
Selected researchers will support activities such as:
- Conducting one-on-one interviews with young people
- Reaching out to and engaging research participants
- Collecting and documenting research data
- Capturing young people’s experiences, perspectives and needs
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should:
1. Be between 18 and 35 years old
2. Have an interest in research and youth participation
3. Possess good communication and active listening skills
4. Be connected to young people within their communities
5. Be comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for digital data collection
6. Be available for research training and fieldwork
