Applications are open for the EkoAI Academy 2026, a free artificial intelligence training programme designed to equip 10,000 young Lagos residents with practical AI skills for employment, entrepreneurship and career growth.
The programme is an initiative of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), delivered through Lagos Innovates in partnership with InnoPower. You do not need coding experience, a university degree or a technology background to apply.

About EkoAI Academy
EkoAI Academy focuses on practical ways young people can use existing AI tools to improve their productivity, secure employment and build or grow businesses.
One of the major areas of training is prompt engineering, which teaches participants how to communicate effectively with AI tools to get useful results for everyday work and business tasks.
The programme will reach participants across Lagos through a network of 100 Certified Trainers, with each trainer expected to guide approximately 100 learners.

Eligibility Requirements
To apply as a learner, you must:
- Be between 18 and 40 years old
- Be a resident of Lagos State
- Have at least an SSCE
- Have access to a smartphone or computer
- Have internet access to participate in the programme
