It is a fully funded 12-month film and television training programme for young African who are passionate about film and creative industry.
MultiChoice Talent Factory Overview
The MultiChoice Talent Factory is a creative development initiative which was recently launched by the MultiChoice Group deigned to train and support the next generation of African filmmakers, storytellers, and television professionals.
The aim behind MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy is to enhance Africa’s film and television sectors by advancing technical skills, storytelling quality, and professional benchmarks.
This is being achieved by giving prioritizes to long-term capacity building within the creative industry.

Benefits of MultiChoice Talent Factory
The MTF 2026 initiative is completely funded. Participants are not required to pay any tuition fees for their training.
It also offer free Intensive 12 months training and hands-on filmmaking experience.
Available training courses include:
- Scriptwriting
- Cinematography
- Directing
- Production management
- Post-production specializations such as editing and sound
During the program, participants will be fully engage in actual productions and acquiring practical knowledge that mirrors the realities of the film and television sector.
MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy Locations Across Africa
The 2026 MultiChoice Talent Factory will be taking place in four academies located throughout Africa:
- Lagos, Nigeria
- Johannesburg, South Africa
- Nairobi, Kenya
- Lusaka, Zambia
Each academy accommodates participants from multiple African nations, fostering a collaborative learning atmosphere that unites varied viewpoints and storytelling traditions.

Certification and Instructors
Participants who successfully completed the programme will receive university-accredited certificates. Partner institutions include:
- Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria
- Kenyatta University, Kenya
- University of Zambia
All instructors at the academies are seasoned professionals in film and television. This facilitates participants learning directly from experts who are familiar with current industry practices, workflows, and expectations.
Eligibility Requirement for the MultiChoice Talent Factory
The program welcomes:

Although prior experience in film or media may be beneficial, the program is mainly centered on enthusiasm, dedication, and the potential to thrive within a professional creative setting.

Compulsory Application Required Documents
Applicants must provide the following documents:
- Curriculum Vitae (maximum of two pages)
- Motivation letter (maximum of 500 words)
- Valid passport and national identity document
- Academic certificates and transcripts
- Proof of residential address
- Banking details (for South African applicants only)
