The Oyo State Government has announced the launch of an online recruitment platform for 7,000 primary school teachers and 100 caretakers for special education facilities throughout the state.
Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), introduced the platform at a news conference in Ibadan on Tuesday.

The job portal, located at subeb.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng, will be operational from 6 p.m. on June 25 until July 9.
The Recruitment process and guidelines (How to apply)
“Subeb.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng is the only authorized SUBEB job portal where you can apply for 7,000 teaching posts and 100 caregiver roles. We advise all potential applicants to be cautious and only use the official portal,” he said.
Applicants must register with their email, phone number, and National Identification Number (NIN), among other information.
Dr. Adeniran described the recruitment process: “After three weeks, the portal will close, and we will analyze the applications to shortlist candidates who meet the requirements.”
“Shortlisted candidates will be invited to take a Computer-Based Test (CBT) examination. Those that pass the CBT will move on to the next phase, which is an oral interview.”
He urged candidates who had difficulties throughout the application process to seek assistance using the phone number and email addresses provided on the website, reminding them that support services are free of charge.
Dr. Adeniran also promised the public that the recruitment process would be transparent and merit-based.
“We assure that the entire application process is free of expenses. “No one is authorized to collect money from applicants,” he stated.

According to Adeniran, the recruitment campaign is part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration’s attempts to eliminate unemployment and increase job prospects in the state’s primary education sector.
He stated that the recruitment of instructors and caregivers is projected to have a substantial influence on Oyo State’s education sector, improving learning experiences and providing pupils with support.
This program comes after several other educational reforms and investments aimed at improving the state’s educational infrastructure.
In recent years, the state government has renovated old school facilities, provided instructional materials, and implemented technology-based educational programs.
