The Adewuyi Research Animal Foundation (ARA Foundation) has announced the opening of its January–February 2026 Research Grant Phase, making a total of ₦1,000,000 available to Nigerian biomedical researchers conducting animal-based scientific studies.
This funding initiative is created to strengthen ethical, high-quality biomedical research in Nigeria by supporting students and early-career researchers who rely on animal models for their investigations.

Purpose of the Grant
The ARA Foundation Research Animal Grant is specifically designed to:
1. Support animal-based biomedical and life science research

4. Improve the quality and scope of experimental biomedical studies in Nigeria
The grant is strictly dedicated to research involving animals and must be used solely for approved scientific purposes.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen
- Must be currently studying in a Nigerian tertiary institution
- Open to undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD students
- Applicants must be in biomedical or life science-related fields
