Applications are now open for the Athena–Anchoria Junior Fellowship Programme (2026 Cohort).
This is a six-month initiative designed to prepare young Nigerians for meaningful engagement in public policy and governance.
The programme is hosted by the Athena Centre for Policy and Leadership in partnership with Anchoria Advisory and will run from April to October 2026, with 12 fellows selected nationwide.

The fellowship is a highly selective, research-focused programme aimed at developing analytically strong and ethically grounded young professionals.
Participants will receive structured policy training while engaging in supervised research and real policy work within the Athena ecosystem, supported by mentorship and professional guidance.
Programme Components
Selected fellows will participate in:
1. Policy and institutional analysis seminars
2. Supervised research placements within the Athena policy ecosystem
3. Writing and editorial mentorship for policy research
4. A short residential immersion programme in Abuja
5. An applied financial literacy and investment module delivered by Anchoria Advisory
6. A team-based capstone policy project addressing real public policy challenges

Eligibility Criteria for Athena–Anchoria Junior Fellowship Programme 2026
The programme is open to:
- Penultimate and final-year undergraduate students
- Master’s degree students
- National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members
- Applicants from accredited Nigerian or international institutions
Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong analytical ability, intellectual discipline, and a genuine commitment to public service and policy development.

Applicants are required to:

2. Submit a policy analysis writing sample
3. Participate in a virtual interview if shortlisted
