The Ogun State Government, through its Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has announced the inauguration of the Gen AI Fellowship Programme, a six-month comprehensive initiative aimed at providing young Nigerians with high-level Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills. Funded by the Bosun Tijani Foundation, this fellowship seeks to cultivate the upcoming generation of Nigeria’s AI pioneers.
The initiative is scheduled to commence on July 21st, 2025, and will provide accepted candidates with practical training in complex AI principles. As per the organisers, the training will occur in Abeokuta, Ogun State, with all participants required to participate in person five days per week for the entire six-month period. The Gen AI Fellowship presents two specialized paths, AI Engineering and AI Developer, enabling applicants to select based on their personal career aspirations.
