The information was shared through an official public notice that outlines various positions, including roles in aviation security, firefighting, finance, engineering, and ICT.
The recruitment aims to attract both entry-level and experienced candidates, with positions such as Aviation Security Executive, Firefighting Executive (ARFFS), and Civil Engineer among those available.

Available positions and qualifications
Aviation Security Executive
Candidates are required to have an OND, BSc, or HND in any discipline. Main duties include:
“Monitoring access control points, patrolling, guarding, profiling passengers, gathering intelligence, managing crowds, and responding to emergencies.”
They will also aid in revenue generation by preventing unauthorized parking in the drop-off zone and ensuring that vehicles engaged in illegal activities are addressed appropriately.
Aviation Security Supervisor
Applicants should possess a BSc or HND and at least three years of experience in an aviation service context. Responsibilities comprise:
“Organizing and scheduling the deployment of Aviation Security Executives and guards.
“Managing the transfer, transport, and processing of detained individuals in collaboration with the Nigeria Police.”
Firefighting Executive (ARFFS)
Candidates must possess an OND, BSc, or HND and meet minimum height criteria (5 ft 9 in for men and 5 ft 4 in for women). Key responsibilities involve:
“Operating fire and emergency vehicles, appliances, and all equipment essential for the effective functioning of the Rescue and Fire Fighting Service.
Performing fire and rescue tasks as needed and engaging in routine fire and mandated training drills as per NCAA/FAAN and Health and Safety standards. Conducting regular fire prevention inspections.”

“Providing customer-focused service and ensuring a seamless journey for arriving and departing passengers along with their luggage.”
“Guaranteeing prompt baggage handling, identifying, and addressing potential hazards within airport facilities.”
Safety Officer
Applicants should have an OND, HND, or BSc with no less than two years of experience and familiarity with ICAO Annex 19 Regulations. Responsibilities include:
“Ensuring all firefighting, fire protection, and fire prevention equipment is operational and conducting regular safety inspections in critical airport areas such as the apron, terminal, control tower, and runway.”
Account Officer
Candidates must hold a B.Sc. in Accounting with a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience. Additional qualifications, like ICAN or ACCA, are viewed favorably. Duties comprise:
“Managing the billing system, creating invoices and account statements, and performing daily reconciliation of the revenue generated and remittance to the bank as necessary.”
Human Resources/Admin Officer
Candidates must possess a B.Sc. in Social Sciences and have a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience. Holding a CIPM certification is an advantage. Main responsibilities include:

Civil Engineer
Candidates should have at least two years of post-qualification experience and hold a B.Eng or HND in Civil Engineering. Responsibilities encompass:
“Creating plans and specifications for airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, roads, drainage systems, and associated facilities.”
They must also ensure adherence to NCAA and other aviation regulations.
HVAC Technician
Candidates are required to have a school diploma and at least five years of relevant experience. Duties consist of:
“Installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, diagnosing and resolving issues with HVAC equipment, and conducting routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns.”
Information Technology (IT)
Candidates must possess a B.Sc. in Computer Science and have two years of experience.
Their responsibilities will include:
“Formulating and executing long-term IT strategies that align with the airport’s broader objectives, overseeing the introduction of new IT systems, and ensuring compliance of the airport’s IT systems with relevant regulations.”

More about Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport project
Construction for the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport project commenced in 2020, and by October 15, 2022, the first test flight by a Nigerian Air Force aircraft landed successfully on its runway.
The airport obtained provisional clearance from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in December 2024 to initiate non-scheduled flight operations. In January 2025, a successful calibration flight was conducted by the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
The facility is now nearing completion, with commercial operations anticipated to begin following the acquisition of full regulatory approvals and the installation of 24-hour Instrument Landing Systems (ILS).
