The Ekiti TESCOM (Teaching Service Commission) has announced that the final phase of its 2025 recruitment exercise for teaching and non-teaching staff will begin Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
In a statement released in Ado-Ekiti, TESCOM Chairman, Mrs. Rhoda Ojo, revealed that 1,831 applicants who successfully passed the earlier stages have been shortlisted for the final round of interviews.
The Ekiti Teaching Service Commission, Ado-Ekiti also notify all candidates who qualified for the interview not to come with the following documents because they are not recognized and unacceptable by the commission. The unacceptable documents are as follow:
- Notification / Statement of Result
- PGDE in view
- Ordinary BSC / BA / HND without PGDE
According to her, this concluding stage will feature a micro-teaching assessment across 27 subject areas, designed to test candidates’ practical teaching skills, subject knowledge, and communication abilities.

Mrs. Ojo emphasized that the recruitment process remains transparent, competitive, and strictly merit-based, reflecting the State Government’s commitment to raising educational standards. She reiterated that the exercise aligns with Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s vision to strengthen education and ensure excellence in teaching and learning across Ekiti public schools.
“This phase is crucial to ensuring that only the most competent and passionate educators are engaged to serve in our secondary schools,” she said.
She further disclosed that the ongoing recruitment represents the first batch, noting that a subsequent round will be conducted to fill outstanding vacancies particularly in Mathematics, English Language, and other critical subjects where additional teachers are needed.
