The DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program 2025 is facilitated by the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) in collaboration with the Enugu SME Center.
This is a complimentary initiative aimed at enhancing the capabilities of MSMEs in Enugu and Abia States by employing a blend of independent online learning and face-to-face workshops to enusure that all participants improve their businesses, hone their strategies, and obtain access to financing opportunities.
What you should know about Enugu DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program 2025
The DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program (ETP) is a premier initiative from the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) intended to provide Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with essential business knowledge, digital skills, and readiness to access finance.
It features self-paced online education through a Learning Management System (LMS) along with local in-person entrepreneurship workshops and a business pitch competition, which gives participants the chance to win grant funding of up to ₦5 million for each business.
Who is qualified and eligible to apply?
Individuals who wish to participate must:
- Possess a business registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC);
- Have been in business for a minimum of 2 years;
- Be situated in or functioning within Enugu or Abia State;
- Have fundamental digital skills and internet access (for online education);
- Pledge to finish all necessary modules and evaluations.

1. The leading 15 pitch finalists from each zone have the opportunity to secure grant funding ranging from ₦1 million to ₦5 million.

Enugu DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program 2025 Phases
Phase 1: Online Training
Delivered through DBN’s LMS: https://learning.devbankng.com/enugu
A. 11 curated courses focused on core MSME needs.
B. 4 core mandatory courses must be completed with at least 80% score each:
- Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Marketing & Sales Techniques
- Sustainability for Small Businesses
- Credit Management & Access to Finance
C. Upon successful completion, digital certificates will be awarded.
Phase 2: In-Person Workshop & Pitch Competition
Top 150 performers from the region (Enugu & Abia) will be invited.
A. 3-day in-person training includes:
- Business plan refinement
- Peer mentorship
- Investor-readiness sessions
- Live pitch competition
B. Top 15 finalists will pitch for grants of up to ₦5 million each.

Criteria for selecting pitch finalists
We will meticulously choose our pitch finalist based on the following criteria:
- The quality of the submitted business plan and pitch presentation;
- Degree of innovation and potential for scalability;
- Clarity and robustness of the financial model;
- Impact and sustainability;
- Effectiveness of the presentation during the pitch.
Application Deadline
All applicants are expected to complete the online training including the four mandatory courses on or before October 31, 2025 to be eligible for the in-person stage.
