The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Keffi, in Nasarawa State has announced the commencement of applications for its 2026 Internship Recruitment Programme.

The hospital is inviting qualified and motivated young graduates who have completed their professional training and obtained provisional practicing licences from their respective regulatory bodies to apply.

This internship programme is designed to provide structured clinical training in line with federal public health standards and professional regulatory requirements.

Available Internship Recruitment Positions and Requirements

1. Intern Pharmacists (CONHESS 08)

Applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from a recognised institution
  • Provisional registration or licence from the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN)

2. Intern Medical Laboratory Scientists (CONHESS 06)

Applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science degree from a recognised institution
  • Provisional registration or licence from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)

3. Intern Nurses (CONHESS 08)

Applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc) degree from a recognised institution
  • Provisional registration or licence from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)

4. Intern Radiographers (CONHESS 06)

Applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Radiography from a recognised institution
  • Provisional registration or licence from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN)

5. Intern Dental Therapists (CONHESS 07)

6. Intern Dental Technologists (CONHESS 07)

Applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor of Technology, HND, or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
  • Provisional registration or licence from the Dental Technologists Registration Board of Nigeria (DTRBN)

7. Intern Optometrists (CONHESS 08)

Applicants must have:

  • A Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from a recognised institution
  • Provisional registration or licence from the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN)

  • A BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
  • Provisional registration or licence from the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria (MRTB)

Salary and Benefits

Successful applicants will be paid according to the Public Health Service Salary Structure, based on their respective CONHESS levels. This includes approved allowances and benefits applicable to interns in federal health institutions.
