Applications are now open for the iHatch Cohort 5 Hub Upskilling Programme. This is a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening innovation hubs and deepening startup ecosystem development across Nigeria.
The programme is inviting experienced and structured innovation hubs to participate in building the next generation of technology founders.
Under iHatch 5.0, a total of 37 Innovation Hubs will be selected to deliver structured startup training and incubation support within their respective communities.

Selected hubs will collaborate with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI) to provide mentorship, practical training programmes, and access to strategic networks for early-stage startups.
What Selected Hubs Will Gain
Participating hubs will benefit from:
- Access to a proven incubation framework with practical tools and templates
- Guided onboarding and structured training sessions
- Financial and real-time support to enhance programme delivery and reporting standards
- Improved founder engagement strategies and ecosystem-building capacity
The initiative is designed to improve the operational quality of innovation hubs while ensuring startups receive structured and impactful support.

iHatch Cohort 5 Hub Upskilling Programme Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicant hubs must:
1. Have operated for at least one year
2. Demonstrate a proven track record of supporting startups or innovation-driven initiatives
3. Show commitment to ecosystem development
4. Possess experience in innovation management or startup support
5. Have suitable physical infrastructure for incubation activities
Applicants are also required to submit:
- CAC Registration Certificate
- Links to official social media handles
- Reports of past innovation events organized or co-implemented by the hub
