The University of Ibadan Students’ Union has announced officially the postponement of the school fees deadline to an Indefinite date.
The previous deadline set by the institution was August 4, 2024.
The new memo to this changes was signed by UI’SU president, Aweda Bolaji and the general secretary, Ogundijo Dolapo Japheth as at July 31, 2024.

Before this time, the University of Ibadan Students’ Union and students on campus embarked on a very rigorous and warming protest on the school premises.
This reminder served as evidence of the agreements reached during the July 17, 2024, negotiations between student leaders and the school administration.

The memo restated that the university governing board is currently reviewing school fees and that an updated deadline will be announced.
“The university governing body is currently reviewing and will approve the school fees as soon as possible.
A revised deadline for school fees will be issued after this procedure is finished.
Additionally, it ordered pupils to defer paying their school fees until everything was resolved.
The general secretary, Ogundijo Dolapo Japheth, and the president of the students’ union, Aweda Bolaji, both signed the letter electronically.
