The Lagos State Health Service Commission (LSHSC) has launched a portal for the start of applications aimed at recruiting clinical staff for General Hospitals throughout the state.
According to the Commission, this initiative aligns with the THEMES Agenda of the current administration and fulfills the commitment to provide quality healthcare to residents.
The Governor noted that this approval will help mitigate the effects of brain drain and guarantee optimal healthcare services in the state’s twenty-nine secondary healthcare facilities.

Qualification criteria set by the Lagos State Health Service Commission (LSHSC)
The qualification criteria set by the Lagos State Health Service Commission (LSHSC) for applicants entail:
1. Obtaining a relevant degree, diploma, or certificate from an accredited institution in the respective discipline;
2. Being registered with the corresponding professional council or regulatory board in Nigeria;
3. Possessing a valid licence, permit, or provisional licence to practice (if applicable);
4. Holding a NYSC discharge or exemption certificate;
5. Having a WAEC certificate or an equivalent.

The Commission stressed that “no applications will be accepted beyond the deadline,” and cautioned that the recruitment process is at no cost. “LSHSC does not request any payment to apply or to be invited for an interview. Only candidates who are shortlisted will be notified for the Computer Based Test and Interview,” the statement continued.
