The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has commenced interviews and documentation for candidates shortlisted from its recently concluded recruitment exercise.
The recruitment, which officially closed on October 14, 2025, attracted thousands of applicants seeking teaching position across public primary schools in the state.
According to credible reports, successful applicants have begun receiving calls, emails, and SMS notifications inviting them to attend the next stage of the process which includes physical verification, credential screening, and interviews at designated SUBEB offices and centers.
Candidates are advised to check their registered contact details regularly and come along with original credentials, valid means of identification, and any documents submitted during their online application.
The Lagos SUBEB recruitment is part of the state government’s effort to strengthen the quality of basic education and ensure that public primary schools are adequately staffed with qualified and passionate teachers.

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has announced that its 2025 recruitment exercise is open only to graduates who possess any of the following qualifications: NCE, B.A (Ed), B.Sc (Ed), B.Ed, HND with PGDE, B.A with PGDE, or B.Sc with PGDE.
According to the Board, all applicants must have a valid O’ Level Certificate from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, along with either a Degree or NCE Certificate. Those who are required to undergo the National Youth Service must also present their NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
LASUBEB emphasized that statements of results issued beyond two years will not be accepted during the recruitment process.
