What is the meaning of NYSC?

The word NYSC is an acronym for the National Youth Service Corporation.The National Youth Service Corporation is a one-year program that is only meant for graduates. It is paramilitary in nature.

NYSC is accompanied by training and volunteer service. It is expected of all youth who are still within the age requirement to embark on this training immediately after they have successfully reached the end of their academic year.

This program is only limited to graduates of universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and military schools.
