The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has officially announced the commencement of applications for its Skills Development Training and Empowerment Programme focused on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle Conversion.
This programme is designed to train Niger Delta youths in Autogas/CNG vehicle conversion technology across the nine (9) Niger Delta states, as part of NDDC’s mandate to build human capacity, promote skills development, and create sustainable employment opportunities in the region.

NDDC Free CNG Vehicle Conversion Training Overview You Should Know
The CNG Vehicle Conversion Training Programme is aimed at equipping beneficiaries with verifiable technical skills in automotive gas conversion technology.
According to NDDC, the programme will:
- Improve access to reliable and sustainable transportation solutions
- Create job opportunities for trained Autogas specialists
- Support environmental conservation by reducing harmful emissions
- Boost economic growth through skills-based employment and entrepreneurship
The initiative aligns with the Commission’s commitment to environmental sustainability and youth empowerment in the Niger Delta.

General Eligibility / Selection Criteria
To be eligible for this programme, applicants must:
1. Be an indigene of any of the nine (9) Niger Delta states which includes Abia State, Akwa Ibom State, Bayelsa State, Cross River State, Delta State, Edo State, Imo State, Ondo State, and Rivers State.
2. Possess at least SSCE/WAEC in science-related subjects, OND (Sciences), or Trade Test Certificate from a recognized institution
3. Have technical qualifications related to automotive, mechanical, or allied trades (advantage)
4. Fresh engineering graduates from the Niger Delta with interest in CNG technology may also apply
5. Be between 18 and 35 years old

- Visit the official NDDC application portal to fill in the application form carefully with your correct details
- Upload all required information and complete the registration
- Submit your application once only
- Print or save your confirmation slip (if provided)
Do NOT submit multiple applications, as this will lead to automatic disqualification.

- Beneficiaries of previous NDDC skills programmes are NOT eligible
