About the Nigeria AI Scaling Hub (AISH)
The Nigeria AI Scaling Hub is a national programme established to promote the responsible, inclusive, and impactful use of artificial intelligence in Nigeria. The initiative is hosted by Lagos Business School and supported by the Gates Foundation.
AISH focuses on bridging the gap between global AI best practices and Nigeria’s local realities by tackling challenges such as:
- Limited computing infrastructure
- Gaps in technical skills and talent development
- Regulatory and policy framework needs
Its priority sectors include maternal healthcare, malaria control, and education, where AI solutions can deliver meaningful and measurable impact.
The Hub works closely with government agencies, private sector organisations, and academic institutions to scale ethical, sustainable, and nationally relevant AI solutions.
