The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has released fresh details on its ongoing 2025 recruitment exercise, including the number of NCS shortlisted candidates and the next stage of the process.
According to the service, a total of 573,523 applications were received, out of which 286,697 candidates have been shortlisted to proceed to the next phase.
However, only 3,927 vacancies are available, meaning more than 282,000 applicants will be dropped before the final selection.
The next stage of the recruitment exercise is a Computer-Based Test (CBT), scheduled to hold nationwide between 14th and 21st September 2025.
The test is designed to further screen candidates and identify only those qualified to move forward in the process.

Shortlisted applicants are thereby advised to:
1. Always check their registered e-mail addresses and phone numbers for subsequent information.
2. Prepare adequately in areas such as current affairs, quantitative reasoning, English, and customs-related knowledge.
With over 286,000 candidates competing for fewer than 4,000 positions, the NCS stressed that the selection process will be highly competitive. Candidates are therefore urged to take the CBT seriously and prepare thoroughly.
