The Nigerian Navy has officially opened its portal for the 2025 Basic Training School Batch 38 Recruitment Exercise. Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply online FREE of charge via the official website.
The online registration period is from 2nd October to 31st October 2025, while the recruitment examination will take place on 29th November 2025 at designated centers nationwide.
The Nigerian Navy emphasized that applications must be submitted online only, and multiple applications will lead to disqualification.

General Requirements
All interested applicants are expected to meet up with the requirements below:
1. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and have a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
2. Minimum height: 1.68m for males and 1.65m for females.
3. Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.
5. Must be free from previous convictions by a court of law.
Age limits:
- O’Level/SSCE holders: 18 – 22 years by 31st December 2025.
- OND/NCE holders: 18 – 26 years.
- Chaplains/Imams/Drivers/Mechanics: 18 – 28 years.
Educational Requirements:
Minimum of 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings (including English & Mathematics) in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB (not older than 2019).
Special Notes:
1. Applicants for trades (Tailoring, Carpentry, Plumbing, Masonry, Welding, Electrical Work, Painting, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology) must have relevant trade test certificates.
2. Medical-related applicants must present ND from recognized institutions and a valid practicing license.
3. Sportsmen/women must present evidence of participation (certificates and medals).
4. All applicants must be proficient in spoken and written English.

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for Nigerian Navy Recruitment 2025
Step 1: Online registration
Visit the official portal: www.joinnigeriannavy.mil.ng Registration is open from 2nd October – 31st October 2025.
Step 2: Fill the Application Form
At this point, make sure that you successfully complete the application form online with accurate details and also upload a clear passport photograph as instructed.
Step 3: Print Out Required Documents
After you have completing the online form, you will then proceed to print out the following documents:
- Acknowledgement Form
- Parent/Guardian Consent Form
- Local Government Attestation Form (signed by LG Chairman, Police Officer of minimum CSP rank, or equivalent in Armed Forces).
- Guarantor’s Certification Form
Step 4: Prepare for the Exam
The recruitment exam holds on 29th November 2025 and only shortlisted candidates will be notified for screening.
Step 5: Attend Screening & Training
Candidates who pass will undergo physical, medical, and aptitude screenings. All successful applicants will receive basic military training and be enlisted into the Navy as Ordinary Seamen.
