NYSC announces full schedule and guidelines for 2025 Batch B Stream 1 orientation course

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially released the comprehensive timetable and critical participation guidelines for the 2025 Batch B Stream 1 Orientation Course. The nationwide exercise is set to commence across all orientation camps on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, and will run through Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

All Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) deployed in this stream are required to report to their respective camps as indicated on their Call-up Letters. Foreign-trained graduates must appear with their International Passports and original copies of all previously uploaded documents.

Travel and Security Advisory

PCMs have been strongly cautioned not to travel at night due to safety concerns. If travel extends beyond 6:00 p.m., they are advised to break the journey and stay in NYSC Secretariats, Corps Lodges, military or police barracks, or other safe locations.

Parents and guardians are urged to ensure their wards do not board roadside or unregistered vehicles, and must use only government-approved motor parks to avoid falling victim to criminal activities.

Important Registration Requirements

All PCMs must present the following documents for registration at the Orientation Camps:

  • Original Call-up Letter (or printed online version)
  • Original Statement of Result or Certificate with authorized signature
  • School Identity Card
  • ND Certificate (for Mono/Polytechnic graduates)
  • Medical Certificate of Fitness from a Government or Military Hospital
  • Foreign-trained graduates: International Passport and all original uploaded documents
  • Medical Professionals: Valid registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., MDCN, PCN, NMCN)

Special Instructions

Married, pregnant, and nursing mothers not posted to their husbands’ states can now report at orientation camps in their spouse’s state of residence. They must present:

  • Marriage Certificate
  • Valid identification of husband
  • Proof of husband’s place of residence

Zero Tolerance for Fraud

The NYSC warns that anyone who presents fake documents will be apprehended and prosecuted. Adequate verification systems have been put in place to detect forgery and malpractice during camp registration.

Also, in the case of loss of Call-up Letters, PCMs who received theirs from their institutions must secure a Police Report and Sworn Affidavit, then return to their schools for reissuance. Those who printed theirs online can simply reprint the letter from the portal.

Legal Implications

Management reminds the public that refusal to report for service or unauthorized participation in the scheme is punishable under Section 13(1)(a)(b) and Section 13(2)(a)(b) of the NYSC Act, Cap. N84, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
