Oyo State Government in his effort to promote youth-driven businesses and financial inclusion has launches a free POS machine distribution and soft loans for young entrepreneurs through the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development.
The state government launches this program in partnership with the First City Monument Bank (FCMB). The application for the collection of POS machines and soft loans will start on July 7th, 2025.

What led to this initiative is the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 30, 2025 between Oyo State Agency for Youth Development and First City Monument Bank (FCMB).

Benefits of registering for the Oyo State POS machine distribution and soft loans for young entrepreneurs
All registered business owners who apply will apply will have access to the following benefits:
- Access to POS machines
- Soft loans with flexible repayment
- Support for cashless transactions
- Empowerment for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)
Eligibility criteria and documents needed to apply
All registered business owners within Oyo State who have the following credentials and certificate are qualified to apply:
- Valid Means of Identification
- BVN
- Evidence of Active Business Operations
- CAC Certificate
According to Hon. Adebowale Adebayo, Chairman of Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, “This program is part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s continued efforts to support youth-driven enterprises through access to digital payment systems and financial support.
