Selar, the eCommerce and creator monetisation platform, has strengthened its social impact drive with the launch of the Smart Hustle Initiative.
Selar Smart Hustle Initiative is a programme created to provide financial assistance and opportunity access to young Nigerians at important academic and early career stages.
The initiative is rooted in Selar’s conviction that expanding access to education and legitimate earning opportunities can help reduce youth exposure to fraud and economic hardship.
Rather than concentrating only on enforcement, Smart Hustle focuses on prevention by tackling structural challenges that limit access to ethical income pathways.

Financial Support Package
Selar has committed ₦10 million to benefit 150 students nationwide:
- 50 final-year university and polytechnic students will receive ₦100,000 each
- 100 Senior Secondary School (SS3) students preparing for WAEC and JAMB will receive ₦50,000 each
This financial support is intended to ease the burden during crucial transition periods, whether preparing for national examinations or completing tertiary education and stepping into the workforce.
Eligibility Requirements
University / Polytechnic Applicants
Applicants must:
- Be in their final year at an accredited Nigerian university or polytechnic
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (or 65%)
- Provide a recent academic transcript
- Submit a valid student ID
- Upload a video motivation statement
Secondary School Applicants
Applicants must:
- Be SS3 students
- Provide proof of WAEC or JAMB registration (or recent results)
- Submit a video motivation statement
All entries will be assessed by an independent selection committee to ensure fairness and transparency.

Application Timeline
The application window runs from February 24 to March 13, 2026. Eligible students are encouraged to submit their applications with the required documents within this period.

The Smart Hustle Initiative goes beyond financial disbursement.
Selar also plans to expand:

- Community-based engagement programmes
- Strategic partnerships that connect young people to digital skills and legitimate earning opportunities
These efforts are aimed at equipping youth with financial literacy, practical digital competencies, and sustainable income pathways.
