Recently, the CDCFIB has released the schedule for the next recruitment stage 4 which includes the physical screening & document verification.

The key timeline for the venue and date selection is from 1st–3rd December 2025 while the physical screening will commence on 8th–12th December 2025.

All shortlisted candidates are enjoined to visit recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng between 1st–3rd December to choose their screening venue and date.

This guide is a simple step-by-step clarification to help applicants secure each document needed for the CDCFIB Screening Document Verification exercise.

All you need to do is to follow each step carefully to avoid delays or disqualification.

1. Recent Passport Photograph

The first important document is your recent passport photographs. So, let move to how you can easily obtain it.  

To obtain your recent passport visit a photography studio or business center.

Request a passport photo with a plain white background.

Print at least 6 copies to be safe.

2. Educational Certificates (SSCE, ND, NCE, HND, Degree, etc.)

The academic certificate you’re presenting is very important because it defines your entry-level and your salary earning for each month. 

So, what are the steps to obtain your educational certificate? 

Firstly, you can retrieve the original certificates from your home or personal files if you already have it. 

If any of your educational certificate is missing, then this is the right time to visit the issuing institution (secondary school, polytechnic, college, or university) and humbly request a certificate reprint or statement of result where applicable.

3. Birth Certificate or Age Declaration

This is one of the most essential documents you cannot do without. So, obtaining it isn’t an option it’s compulsory. 

To successfully obtain your birth certificate or age declaration, you will have to visit the National Population Commission (NPC) office in your LGA to request a birth certificate.

If unavailable, go to a High Court or Magistrate Court to swear an Age Declaration affidavit.

One more thing, you must pay attention to is to ensure that the document carries correct name, date of birth, and signatures.

4. Letter of Indigeneity (Certificate of Origin)

This is also refers to as the certificate of origin. To obtain it, you will need to visit your Local Government Secretariat and proceed to the Department of Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs.

When you get there, request and pay for a State/Local Government Certificate of Origin.

You will be asked to submit two passport photographs for the smooth processing of your document.

5. Medical Fitness Report

This is also one of the important document you can do without if you truly want to participate in the physical screening and document verification.

You are expected to visit a recognized government hospital (General Hospital/Teaching Hospital).

Then, request a Comprehensive Medical Fitness Test.

There are essential items that must be on it, ensure the report includes: blood pressure, vision test, chest exam, and general fitness confirmation among others. 

Also, make sure the medical fitness handed over to you is fully signed and stamped.

6. National Identity Number (NIN) Slip

You should have owned this already because it is one of the preliminary requirement for bank opening and some others official documentation.

But, in case you just want to get yours visit any NIMC enrollment center if you do not have a NIN.

For existing NIN holders, log in to the NIMC Mobile App or visit an NIMC center to reprint your slip.

Most importantly, make sure that your name and details match your application records.

7. Bank Verification Number (BVN)

This might also be required for the physical screening and verification exercise, you can obtain it by paying a visit to your bank branch and request for a BVN printout.

Go there with a valid ID card for verification.

Finally,  at this stage ensure the BVN slip carries your correct full name. This is very crucial. 

8. Recruitment Acknowledgement Slip

Log in to recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.

Go to your dashboard.

Download and print the Acknowledgement Slip used during application.

9. Letter of Good Conduct

This is also refers to as letter of attestation or recommendation letter. 

You can get it from your church pastor, Imam, district head, village head, chief, or community leader.

Tell the person to write for you a formal Letter of Good Conduct/Character Attestation. You will need to attach your passport to it.

The letter should be signed, stamped, and carries the authority’s full details.

10. Guarantor’s Form

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Board will be the one to give you this document. 

Very soon, the document is be available for all the shortlisted applicants via their individual portal. 

All that’s expected of you is to download from the CDCFIB portal, print and fill it correctly.

One more important thing, you must pay attention to is to make sure that the guarantor meets CDCFIB requirements (civil servant, traditional ruler, or recognized official).

11. Examination/Test Slip

This is your test slip used for the CBT exam. You should have obtained this during the previous phase of recruitment exercise. 

If the CDCFIB still make it available on the portal, you can then obtain it directly from the portal. 

All you need to do is to log in to recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng and navigate to your dashboard to download the original exam/test slip used during the CBT exam. Print it and keep multiple copies for future uses.
