Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke claims that since taking over for his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola, on November 27, 2022, he has not taken out a loan.

At the second “Ipade Imole” forum, where he provided stewardship to the state’s populace, the governor declared on Tuesday in Ilesa, “Let it be known that we have never borrowed a kobo in all our governance activities to date.”

According to Mr. Adeleke, his intention to manage the state within the means at hand is consistent with his vow not to take out a loan to fund the state’s numerous infrastructural projects.

Tell the individual he is a liar if he tells you this administration has borrowed money, he said.

Speaking about his accomplishments across a range of industries, Mr. Adeleke stated that his administration was restructuring the mining industry and forming a task force to stop illicit mining in the state.

Regarding healthcare, the governor reported that more than 100 primary healthcare facilities throughout the state have been updated and modernized under his administration.

He said that 29,000 retirees were freely enrolled in the State Health Insurance Scheme and that over 50,000 people have benefited from Imole medical outreach.

To improve teaching and learning, the governor announced that he had approved the hiring of 5,250 more school officers and teachers.

Regarding infrastructure development, the governor announced that his administration was working to dualize state highways and build a large number of flyover bridges.

He claimed that among other things, his administration was advancing women, youth, agriculture, and creative growth.

Mr. Adeleke declared, “We are a pan-Osun government dedicated to the rebirth and prosperity of our beloved state.”
