The Zamfara State Internal Revenue Service (ZIRS) has announced the commencement of its 2025 recruitment exercise, inviting qualified and competent individuals to apply for various professional roles. This recruitment supports the agency’s mandate to strengthen revenue generation, improve tax administration, and enhance public service delivery across the state.
ZIRS is seeking skilled individuals to fill positions across key departments like Tax Administration, Legal and Compliance, Public Enlightenment and Communication
The agency aims to onboard applicants with integrity, competence, and strong public service values to support its statewide operations.

Available Positions and Academic Requirements
1. Inspector of Taxes II. Academic requirement includes Degree in Accounting, Economics, Taxation, or related fields with 0–3 years post-NYSC experience.
2. Legal and Compliance Unit. Academic requirement includes LL.B and BL (Law degree and Call to Bar)
3. Public Enlightenment & Communication Unit. Academic requirement includes Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, or similar fields. Media/communication certifications are an added advantage
4. Professional Certifications such as CITN, ICAN, ANAN, and ACCA will be an added advantage.
General Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following conditions:
1. Must be an indigene of Zamfara State
2. Age requirement: 18–35 years for entry-level roles
3. Minimum qualification: HND or Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class Lower or equivalent)
4. Must be medically fit and certified by a government-owned hospital
5. Must possess no criminal record and demonstrate good character
6. Must have a Tax Identification Number (TIN) and be tax compliant
7. Must present a valid birth certificate or declaration of age
8. Must demonstrate the following competencies:
- ICT proficiency
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Teamwork and leadership potential
- Attention to detail
Note: Successful candidates may be deployed to any part of Zamfara State, regardless of their Local Government Area.
