Applications are now open for the Zero Waste Stories Bank (ZWSB) Project, an initiative inviting Lagos-based civil society organisations working in environmental sustainability and waste reduction to apply.
The programme is designed to highlight and document impactful zero-waste stories that showcase practical circular economy solutions and grassroots efforts improving waste management across communities.
It aims to strengthen how organisations communicate their impact while promoting public awareness on sustainable waste practices.

Programme Overview
The project will select 36 organisations across Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt, with:
- 12 organisations from Lagos
- 2 representatives per organisation participating in programme activities
Programme Benefits
Selected organisations will receive:
1. Capacity building in impact storytelling
2. Training in digital marketing and communication
3. Improved digital visibility for their work
4. Access to regional networking opportunities
5. Certification upon completion of the programme

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, organisations must:
1. Be legally registered NGOs, CBOs, or social enterprises
2. Be based and operating in Lagos State
3. Have at least one year of experience in:
- Zero waste initiatives
- Environmental sustainability
- Circular economy
- Waste management
- Actively engage youth, women, or informal waste workers
- Promote inclusivity in their operations
