Every fresh graduate or PCM ready for NYSC is expected to firstly create an account on the NYSC portal before they can register for the one-year compulsory service.
How to create account for NYSC registration: You will need to confirm your name on your institution’s graduation list and the NYSC Senate list; without that, you will not be able to create an account on the NYSC portal.

Once you have double-checked that everything is intact. You can proceed to creating your profile. This is the first step.
Follow this guide carefully; guess what? It’s very easy!

Step 1: Prepare the things you’ll need
The first thing to do is to get these following information and document ready. You will need:
- A valid email address (preferably Gmail, Outlook, ProtonMail …)
- An active phone number
- A scanned passport photograph (white background)
- Your Matric Number and JAMB Registration Number
- Details about your date and year of graduation exactly as it appears on your institution graduation list
- NYSC essential documents for online registration
Once you are sure everything is set, then you can proceed to the second step.
Step 2: Go to the NYSC registration portal
Open your browser on your mobile phone, laptop, or PC and visit https://portal.nysc.org.ng.
We strongly recommend using a laptop or good smartphone with strong internet to avoid network issues and prevent delays in receiving your verification email.
Step 3: Click on “Mobilization Batch Registration”
Once you’re log in, right on top of the homepage. You will see a red text “Mobilization Batch Registration.”
Click on it to begin creating your NYSC account.

Step 4: Create a new account
I believe you have clicked on it, and we’re now on the same page. You will be an option next. Don’t focus on the second option, so click on “Fresh Registration” because this is your first time
Input the details you’ve gathered in step 1 above, which include
- Full name (as it appears on your result)
- Email address
- Phone number
- Password (choose one you’ll remember)
- Confirm the details, then click Submit.
Additional information:
Your email and password will be your login details going forward. Before you can proceed to step 5, NYSC will need to send you a verification email with a link to authenticate your account and proceed with the official registration.
Therefore, depending on the email alias you choose to use.
You will surely receive the verification. For faster delivery of your verification email, we strongly recommend you use an email alias like Outlook Mail, Yahoo, ProtonMail, or your student-assigned school Gmail account.
Finally, once you receive the verification email. Look for an NYSC-accredited centers that is close to you to continue registration from step 5 below.

Step 5: Login and start filling your profile
After creating your account, you are now in your NYSC-accredited close to you. Proceed to log in using the email and password you just created and fill in your personal information as follows:
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- State of origin
- Local government area
- Next of kin details
And so on… Take your time to ensure everything is correct.
Step 6: Educational background
Now enter your school information:
- Name of institution(s)
- Course of study
- Matric number
- Class of degree (e.g., Second Class Upper)
- Year of graduation

Step 7: Upload required documents
Before this step, your chosen registration should have taken your biometric verification and capture. Because you will need it at this stage.
Once you have taken your biometric verification and capture, you’ll be asked to upload:
- A clear passport photo of yourself with a white background
- Statement of result or certificate
- Valid ID card (if required)

Step 8: Choose your preferred states
You’ll be allowed to select 4 states (but NYSC will post you to just 1).
At this point, choose wisely because not every state may be available.
Step 9: Review and submit
Go through everything you filled in:
- Check for spelling errors.
- Confirm all uploads are correct.
Once done, click “Submit” to finalize your registration.
Step 10: Print your addendum.
After you are done with the submission, an addendum slip will appear on your dashboard. Print it because you will need it while doing your registration in camp.
You’ll also wait for your Call-Up Letter, which will tell you when and where to go for camp.
That’s it for now! You’re done.
