The Offa Doctors Forum has shared its strategy to improve healthcare services and member support as part of its agenda for 2025, emphasizing community development and empowerment.
During the association’s recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), Dr. Rasheed Odunola, the Forum’s President, introduced a number of initiatives designed to promote positive changes in Offa and the surrounding areas.
“Our accomplishments over the last year have been impressive, driven by teamwork and commitment.
We aim to establish the Forum as a key player in fostering significant transformation in Offa and its vicinity,” Dr. Odunola remarked in a statement released following the meeting.
Among its initiatives, the Forum declared plans to renovate a health center in Offa to bolster healthcare infrastructure and enhance access to quality services.
Dr. Odunola mentioned, “This project will facilitate superior healthcare delivery for our community and contribute to the well-being of our residents.”
The Forum also launched a scholarship scheme for underprivileged 200-level medical students from Offa, offering a grant of ₦100,000 to each qualified recipient. “This initiative demonstrates our commitment to education and the empowerment of the next generation of healthcare professionals,” Dr. Odunola noted.
To amplify its impact, the Forum intends to partner with the Offa Descendants Union of North America (ODUNA) on various initiatives in 2025. Furthermore, it seeks to grow its membership base by 75 percent and enhance compliance with dues payments to fund additional community-focused projects.
“Our goal is to establish a stronger network of professionals dedicated to delivering better healthcare and improving the lives of Offa residents,” Dr. Odunola stressed.
The Forum reiterated its dedication to maintain its collaborative efforts and community outreach programs to better the lives of individuals in Offa and beyond. The AGM concluded with the Forum reaffirming its intent to remain a pivotal force in healthcare advancement and professional empowerment in the upcoming year.

Requirements to be qualified for the Scholarship Program
Individuals interested in this scholarship must satisfy the following criteria:
1. Applicants must be a native of Offa.
2. Applicants must be enrolled as medical students.
3. Applicants must not exceed the age of 30 at the time of application.
4. Applicants must be in their preclinical years as of June 30, 2025.
5. Applicants must be willing to participate in an interview in Offa.

- Last Semester result/Letter of Introduction from the University
Application Deadline
The deadline for applications submission remains October 31st, 2025. Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply early.
