The Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) previously known as NIYEEDEP has officially announced the postponement of the distribution of business grants for Batch A applicants, which was originally set to start on October 20, 2025.
In a statement, the Coordinator-General of the programme, Comrade Kennedy Iyere, stated that the postponement was necessary to guarantee a transparent, accountable, and precise disbursement process.
He warned applicants to be cautious of misinformation spreading on social media, highlighting that some deceitful individuals were making false claims about the initiation of disbursement to trick and extort money from vulnerable people.
YEIDEP emphasized that all benefits and opportunities associated with the programme are entirely free and urged applicants to ignore anyone who requests payment or personal details.
