The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the opening of internal and external vacancies for suitably qualified candidates to fill mid-management positions within the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
According to the official notice released by the Office of the Secretary, the recruitment exercise is targeted at strengthening the leadership structure of the FFS with experienced officers drawn from federal, state, and local government agencies.

Federal Fire Service Mid-Management Available Positions
The positions open for application include:
- Deputy Controller of Fire (DCF), CONPASS 14
- Assistant Controller of Fire, CONPASS 13
- Chief Superintendent of Fire, CONPASS 12
- Superintendent of Fire, CONPASS 11
- Deputy Superintendent of Fire, CONPASS 10
Method of Application
Eligible applicants are required to submit scanned copies of their applications and supporting documents to the Board via the official email: [email protected]Â within one week of the publication date. Application deadline will be December 1st, 2025.
The Board emphasized that candidates are allowed to apply for only one position. Submitting multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification.

Federal Fire Service Mid-Management Statutory Requirements
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
1. Must be an employee of Federal, State, or Local Government MDAs.
2. Must have a minimum height of 1.65m (males) and 1.60m (females).
3. Must be physically and mentally fit.
4. Must submit applications through the Secretary to the Board via [email protected]
5. Must possess a Letter of Identification from their Local Government of Origin.
6. Must present evidence of Confirmation of Appointment.
7. Must submit three (3) years APER/PMS records, as applicable.
8. Must submit Certified True Copy (CTC) of their Record of Service.
9. Must have no criminal record.
10. Must provide copies of letters from previous appointments.
The notice also reiterated the Board’s commitment to transparency and equal opportunity in the recruitment process.
The CDCFiB office is located at the Old Federal Secretariat, Area 1, Garki, Abuja.
