A viral message is circulating online claiming that the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is planning a makeup or spillover CBT exam for candidates who were unable to write or complete their test due to technical issues.
The message states that CDCFIB will “reconduct exam for those that missed it due to web error.”
At this time, there is no official statement from the CDCFIB to support this claim. The Board clearly announced that the examination officially ended on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, for all applicants. Candidates who experienced technical interruptions are not covered after the portal closed.

The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has also not issued any statement addressing the rumour, which further indicates that the claim is unverified.
For now, candidates should focus on the upcoming CBT result, expected to be released soon. Applicants are strongly advised to rely only on credible and official information sources and to disregard any unofficial broadcasts.
